So what happens when we examine the prayers of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—in their own words? What do those prayers reveal about how each faith views God, society, other religions, and the world around them?
Understanding what our neighbors believe isn’t just an academic exercise. If we want to protect our own values and culture, we need to understand the values and aspirations of those around us—including where there may be genuine reasons for concern about intolerance or religious domination. Know thy neighbor. And when necessary, know thy enemy.
