Can one demand that people stand up against evil-doers if their own lives and the lives of their families are in danger? This is a moral debate. However, we remember the famous quote: “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil …is that good men do nothing.”
The Polish nation is passing a bill threatening a prison sentence of up to three years to anyone using the phrase “Polish death camps” to describe the extermination camps in Poland during WWII.
Shouldn’t the Polish nation admit to SOME responsibility for the millions of men, women, children and babies that were slaughtered in their back yard by the Nazis AND many Poles themselves? Or should they take this terrible part of history and blame the Nazis and their occupation, thereby NOT learning the lessons that need to be learned by all of us? Tamar weighs in on the issue and invites others to share their thoughts as well.
