This poem is dedicated to Nelly Sachs. Nelly Sachs is one of the most significant Holocaust poets, her poetry is highly surrealistic and dissolve into mystic, poetic metaphors.
In my poem “The Fear” (below), I wanted to pay tribute to her.
they run through the world
ardent gazelles
split tongues of fire
burned images
in anxiety
go to the sea
without measure
